When you said you were glad I didn't show the other scar on my leg, were you referring to the one on my shin? I have one right behind my knee and a drainage incision behind it and a round patch on my shin that hurts like hell. Is that normal? I know I should call my Dr., but I was just wondering.

Well maybe you did not get the one Higher up. Right in the area where they do the Angio Gram. I had a bruise from my knee to crotch from them taking that vein. For a bit I was more worried about that than the other large scar.

The round patch I have no clue about, and yes I would ask the Doctor.

Thanks for responding. It sounds like they harvested your veins from your thigh. They got mine from my shin up to the back of my knee joint. I called. They said the fever and swelling were normal and called in some more useless Lortab. I just keep a cold compress on it or keep a fan blowing on it. A buddy of mine has had this done twice and had 15 caths in 15 years. I really hope I never have to do this again.
