I know, I know. It anin't the most manly phsyique you've ever seen. Those small incisions across the top of my belly are where 4 of the drainage tubes were. I just thought someone might be interested.

See ya later!

    Yep, been there, done that.

When they pulled out those drain tubes, it seemed like they were four feet long and they would never get them out !

Believe the Dr. when he tells you not to drive for a while.
After a couple of weeks, I thought --- My truck has power steering and power brakes - shouldn't hurt to drive. ---WRONG !!!!
Trying to turn your head quickly and twist your torso to see in that blind spot will not be pleasant.

    Thanks---Peabo

    David,
That is not necessarily a GB pose.
You need a gun in one or both hands.
    Glad you are moving about.

Been there -- done that --
But I had a valve replaced that
    was deformed ---
    With that "little" weight problem
you have there be sure you keep on top
of the fact that you could develop
    diabetes ---
If you have problems with your legs
swelling up - get in and have your blood
    sugar checked ----
    Good Luck

My God, man, I just had lunch![8D]
Seriously, I'm glad you're doing well. I probably got that to look forward to if I don't change my ways.

Have NOT been there and have NOT done that and hope I never do....OUCH.

Glad it went well and your on the mend. Later on if anyone asks where you got that big scar, tell them you were bayoneted while taking Mt. Suribachi on Iwo Jima.

The last bypass surgery I seen was my ex's cousin...he was cut from stem to stern as the saying goes, and closed with staples...

He was cut from the chest bone to midpoint of the abdomen(mind now that was over 20 years ago)....and the staples would get caught on his clothing....he always said that was the worst part...

He was in the hospital for 2 weeks, was a bit longer than planned in step-down...

Incision looks good, glad to see you are home and on the mend...

    Take care..

Since the "bare" facts have been so adequately displayed, I hope it serves as a wakeup call for us who are not exactly in tune with our health. Thanks for posting what you did. Joe

    Glad you are back David!
I have seen the same "scar" several times in my family.
Stay safe,......listen to the doc, and get that weight under control.
You will feel 100% better, plus you will avoid another of what you just had, most likely.

Those tube spots will end up looking like Bullet Scars. Think of the Tales you can tell.

Glad you did not show the other scar on your leg.[:I]

Or did you forget that one.

The last pic is of the incision on the backside of my right knee. About 3" long. Itching like crazy tonite. I went outside with the boys today and really didn't do anything. Wewent to the post office and the bacnk, then Blockbuster and home. I really think I did too much. It don't take much to be alot aymore. I did learn in the hospital to take the pain meds. The doctors actually fuss if you don't. I do feel better when i take them. I just don't want to become dependant on pills. Morphine I/V maybe, but not pills.
