    I can't imagine the reaction if the roles had been reversed. It sure seemed like Jr. had a lower line he could have chosen and running up on a car like that with no binders isn't the brightest thing ever.

    Jr had brake problems all race long. he admitted it was a bonehead move and he was 100% at fault....i don't think he anticipated the love taps he got back in return.

    Sounds like it was a terrible tragedy. I didn't watch it but I heard that if Jr. hadn't hit her she might have finished 32nd instead of 34th.

    With 2015 being the last of her three year deal with Stewart-Haas plus the loss of GoDaddy as her major sponsor, I look for her career with NASCAR to just, go away.

    That's not to say she will no longer be racing because a deal is supposed to be in the making for her to be a driver in 2016 in an F1 car.

    In reality, that's where her roots are because it's a totally different kind of racing than NASCAR. She may do well if given a chance.

    Some will disagree but I think the fact that she is a woman in a "Good old boy" male dominated sport has always worked against her in NASCAR.

    What the heck was Jr doing on the track with bad brakes??? He increased the danger for everyone in an already very dangerous sport. He should get some kind of punitive sanction for being an idiot.

    its one thing for her to be there because she is good. it is a whole different ballgame if she is there just to be a pretty face and to create some drama in an otherwise humdrum sport.

    This is why I miss the Nascar of the 60's,70's and 80's when rubbing was racing and Dale Sr. was a terror on the track. Hell, like the song said, Hit the wall smoking and spinning and still not thinking about nothing but winning. I say balls to the wall, brakes or no brakes, it's Nascar, not some go cart race.Oakie
