Those of you who buy silver online

Who do you use?

I am not really investing in Silver, but I have picked up a little over the past few months. Some say they used JMbullion, and others mentioned Silver.com.

I bought from both of them a 2-3 times each. I noticed the address on the silver.com website and decided one day to swing by and see if they had a store front. The address they have is a professional office. Nothing to do with website. So I gave them a call and asked where they were located, I was at the addy they have listed and he laughed and said oh that's a post off address where we have a box. But there is no post office at that address. Here is where Silver.com claims to be: http://tinyurl.com/nrkhqlg

So a bit miffed, I looked up JM Bullion, which showed to be on the other side of preston road, not a block away. Same thing. The address they give is a Joanns fabric store. http://tinyurl.com/k8uvw8l

I am now a bit leary of dealing with them. Why would they give false address?

Silver.com shows 5930 Royal Lane, Ste. E-151 Dallas, TX 75230, that is a subway! However, the building has a second floor and they said there could be a another suite E up there. Upon checking, the guy I met acted like I was a nut when I asked for silver.com.

So let me get this straight... You buy silver and let someone else keep it... Brilliant!
Although always described as a cowboy, Roswellnative generally acts as a righter of wrongs or bodyguard of some sort, where he excels thanks to his resourcefulness and incredible gun prowesses.

Provident Metals and JM Bullion are generally the cheapest, and have free shipping.

You HAVE to figure in shipping, as many places are "cheaper" but end up more expensive with the shipping!

I like the people at Provident Metals. Never had a problem with any purchase. Often they have codes for free shipping in their e-mail updates.

Fake mailing addresses are not only legal, they can be set up with the full cooperation of USPS (for a fee). IRS does it, as do Medicare contractors.

They generally claim that this done for logistical reasons, but it's really done to hide their real location & keep members of the public from pounding on the door.

Have gotten a couple orders from JMbullion - no problems at all.
I imagine the wacky addresses is so they don't get robbed. Be a big target.

Probably just have a PO box at that location.

EDIT: I save my invoices from JMB so I know what price I bought my silver at. They list the following address on their invoice:

    JMB
    1813 Olde Homestead Lane # 11088
    Lancaster, PA 17605

I have only used Scottsdale silver. Package requires a signature but my stupid mail lady just leaves it by the door!

I bought from Provident and JM and had no problems with either order.

Have bought from NWTM and JM Bullion.

JM Bullion typically has stock, whereas NWTM does not.

JM Bullion is overall slightly higher priced, but price includes shipping. Once that is figured in, they are very close.

I am expecting a delivery today from JM Bullion, and one tomorrow from NWTM. The one from JM Bullion was ordered Thursday. The one from NWTM was ordered in early January.

I just found it odd they would lie about where they were located.

    Maybe it's nothing.

If you do the math, Silver.com and Jm are always withing $1 or 2 of each other. One has free ship on min order $100 and the other charges $6 flat rate.

I am going to try and pick up an 10oz bar when I get the chance.

Just got a box from JM Bullion today...the return address on the box is Operations 1063 McGaw Aveune, Suite 100 Irvine California 92614-0000...possibly a drop ship. I order most of mine from JM...I get regular emails from them with specials they are running.

When I bought silver, it was from a bullion dealer with a storefront. I always took physical possession, advice from a self-made millionaire that I once worked for. I had bars including the 100-ounce size, in my freezer[:p]. Now it's all gone, except for a can of 1-ounce Austrians and Libertads, but the appreciation of that stuff in five years enabled me to pay off a loan to a relative at 350% of what I borrowed. Was she a happy camper![:)][:)]

It is probably to protect themselves from armed robbery. Also, many businesses have "Registered Agents". That is a person who receives official mail in the name of the corporation. HE knows who and where to forward the company's mail. If you have a legitimate reason to know their physical address, ask them by email or phone. Since they don't know you, they probably won't give it out. [:D]

Took delivery of the my first gold bars yesterday from JM. I had told myself that I would wait until it dropped below $ 1,000.00, but under $ 1,200.00 got the better of me.

The Sunshine Mint 10 ounce and 100 ounce bars at JM Bullion are attractive bars, JnRockwell. So are the 5 and 10 ounce Morgan and Walking Liberty bars.

Packaging of all of the above from JM has always been excellent.
