Got Harassed Today

I was walking into a store to get a haircut in a strip mall. There was a black man about 2 1/2 stores down. As i was walking in the store the man yelled to me to let him get 20 bucks. I told him no thanks and walked in the store.

He followed me in barber shop and said i told you to give me 20 bucks white boy. The lady cutting hair was calling 911. I have never wanted to hit a person in the throat so bad. 1 chop to the throat was all i wanted.

I just kept my mouth shut and the police hauled him to jail.

    This is the kind of thing to cause stress, resisting the urge to whack him in the throat. You did the best thing, unless he puts his hands on you, then feel free to vent said stress. [:)]

    The man messed up when he walked in a store. If he would have stayed outside he could have kept harassing customers going in and out of stores but he followed me in.

    The only reason i was nice was because of 3 kids in the barber shop. They were 3 to 7 i guess. It is getting so you can not go anywhere anymore.[:(]

    Last time I was in Rocky Mount it was a beautiful and laid back Country livin town!! They made furniture like High Point.

    this is where you stick you hand in pocket saying sure thing.......but I'm short on cash, can I give it to you in lead?


    was walking out to my car in a store parking lot and a guy about 30 feet away asks me for spare change and I said (forcefully) NO - and stay away from me! (he started walking slowly towards me) and I yelled "stay the hell away from me" and reached behind for the 45 and just held it there still in waist band and the dumb as kept coming anyway saying "you ain't got nothing mf" and I said IF I pull it out I'm shooting you so do you really want to find out? thankfully he walked away mumbleing something about crazy cracker or something.

    I do not let strangers approach me any longer. sad but good advice these days I'm afraid. usually if I say "stay the hell away from me" that works 99% of the time. say it loud and like you are crazy.[}:)]

    first time I did that in front of my wife she freaked out and fussed at me in the car and I said "that guy is either going to rob us or at least case us and if he senses any weakness on our part he would have robbed us" . she thought about it a sec and said ok but how did you know? I sez, I didn't but why take the chance nowadays?

    99.9999% of the people who would approach you are not out to do you any favors.

    I get my haircut at "Headquarters Guns N Barber Shop" in Waxahachie, TX.

    It's 15 minutes out if the way but hey its a gun store and a barber shop.

    WOW, you have really mellowed and I am glad to see that. YOU DID THE RIGHT THING, especially in front of those kids Dave. Nothing wrong with walking away from some knucklehead and living to breath another day. You just don't know who has a gun or a knife today. People no longer use their fist and rely on a weapon, especially these black gang bangers. I never get into it with them anymore and if I see a pack of them, I walk the other way. I don't want to die over something stupid. Oakie

    Oh i had a gun on my person. I am trying to mellow out. I am going to a pain clinic now and they changed my pain meds around and i feel better. I just get sleepy around 1 pm.

    If this happened 2 months ago i would have fought him just because i was hurting and in a bad mood. I would have got in his face and talked him into swinging.

    I would not be surprised if my Barber was armed at all times. I'm also not so sure he would need a weapon.
