Tsunami Garbage complements of Japan

Ok so I read that the debris/garbage from the Tsunami that hit Japan a while ago will be reaching the west coast sometime next year. Since I live on the Oregon coast I'm sure I will get to deal with it. My question is should we bill Japan for the cleanup? Im sure that they would if the roles were reversed. Dont they have the capability to clean it up or did they really even try? thats my 2 cents1

    I'm sure they wouldn't.!

Besides - you might want to take a look at how much gas/diesel/crude-oil USA consumes, and how "relaxed" the government is about taxing it and how unwilling they are in regards to CO2 output.

Should the rest of the world bill USA for the air pollution and whatever it affects.?

I guess it's fairly hard to clean up the spill from the massive amounts of seawater they had to put in the reactor to prevent a meltdown, which would quite probably have polluted even more - seawater which leaked out, sure, but it was the less of several evils.

Speaking of radioactive waste.... what about nuclear testing in the Pasific Ocean, Bikini Atoll, South Atlantic Ocean.??

With a purposeful grimace and a terrible sound
He pulls the spitting high-tension wires down

    Helpless people on subway trains
Scream, bug-eyed, as he looks in on them

He picks up a bus and he throws it back down
As he wades through the buildings toward the center of town

Oh, no, they say he's got to go
    Go go Godzilla
    Oh, no, there goes Oregon

Oh, no, they say he's got to go
    Go go Godzilla
    Oh, no, there goes Oregon
    Go go Godzilla

Oh, no, they say he's got to go
    Go go Godzilla
    Oh, no, there goes Oregon

    Godzilla

History shows again and again how nature points up the folly of man
    Godzilla!

I think the Japanese were a little pre occupied what with all the death and destruction and meltdowns to send out anyone to clean up the mess.

    ...Dang Japs!

...Being sneaky like they are, wouldnt surprise me a dang bit if they decided it was too much debris for them to spend the effort, time & money to clean up themselves.

So being the Ying & Yang, Fung Shui masters they are, called upon the Divine Wind...better known as "Kamakazi"...to kinda help give the debris a little Easterly push...sneaky slopes...[^]

I have enough taxes w/o the Feds taxing crap because of the bogus global warming hoax..if the little Socilaist want to believe in the global warming hoax, let 'em, figures.

Soon as we get rid of the greenie enviro whackos with a strangle hold on new reactors, refineries, offshore & Artic drilling, we're going to have a lot more cheap oil to burn. Drill baby drill!

I could care less about these other Euro trash Socialist Countries that are jealous of our industry and our way of life.
If the enviro whacks are so concerned with the air & global warming...they might want to pick up the phone & call some of the worst offenders, Russia, India, China.

This Country was BUILT and became the worlds only Super Power, based on oil.
Let these dink countries enjoy their golf cart sized "cars", bicycles & scooters...Ill enjoy my full size Suburban & 4 dr 3/4 ton trucks.

These Countries might think about turning down the Billions we give in monetary aid, and dissater relief we deliver when needed, MORE than any other Country, if their people think we're the great evil of pollution, suit me just fine.

Those same pizz ant size "Countries" would be thinking Lederhosen was the height of fashion if it had not been for our Industrial might derived & driven by nasty oil during WWII...not to mention the more important sacrifice of our precious blood that was spilled around the world for the freedom of foreigners...[;)]

I say we make the cleanup our problem. I hear it's coming ashore right now but being covered up nationally.

I wonder how much radiation has fouled any "treasure" drifting our way? I recall gold and silver get "hot" rather easily.

I don't know, this might be an example of those "shovel ready" jobs Obongo was talking about.

That debris was dragged out to sea by the inflow/outflow of the tsunami itself. The reactor damage didn't occur until days later.

I would be more concerned about the tritium and the fish that were exposed to it.
Haven't heard anything about that disaster at all, making me think of a coverup to prevent panic of a disaster completely out of control.
If the reactor meltdowns were under control or contained quickly we would have heard all about that. But since we haven't it makes me suspicious.

Thread starter want to bill japan for the cleanup of the pollution from the tsunami and whatnot.

Since the door swings both ways - that means the rest of the world can also bill USA for polluting the globe.

    THAT'S why.

As for "The worst offenders....".... if beginning to send the bill to other countries for the cleanup like this becomes standard, the ECO nuts just might begin calling around to ALL countries.

You can't just open the door one way, aimed at a singular event and demand money - slamming the door shut when other countries might want to slip in a bill for the pollution USA have caused.

So far, USA have run from it's responsibility of cleaning up in the DUNDAS-area here in Greenland.
There's oildrums rusting away in several places around northern greenland - leaking whatever was in them.

A halfhearted but not finished project of cleaning up... ended in disaster.
A hole was dug, and a lot of drums were mashed into that hole.
    Just concentrating the pollution.

Should Greenland send the bill to USA for polluting Greenland with oildrums spread around the Thule Air Base.?

You might want to get completely rid of it yourself - or pay to have someone do it for you.
For some reason neither Denmark nor Greenland have had any success in getting USA to clean it up.

But I would suspect more luck if USA begins sending bills to japan for cleaning up debris from the tsunami.

Again - door swings both ways.
If not... you might just loose Thule Air Base and the best position for the early warning system for ICBM's.
Keep polluting here - and you might not be welcome here anymore.
