Trumps election did not reverse the trajectory of our demise; it in theory extended it a bit; time will tell about the extension.
unfortunately, the majority voted for HRC. By 1.5 million, so far.
. What? Couldn't be Franz declared that Trump won the popular vote.
just hope we can enjoy the next 8 years or so [:D]
Those who count to eight are presuming.
You are wrong.
There are approximately 4,043,000 people turning 18 every year in the USA. in Four years that is about 16,172,000 new 18 year old eligible voters in 2020. Most youth vote (D), most young immigrants, legal and illegal vote (D). Hillary got 1.7 million more popular votes than Trump did. So simple extrapolation of about 50% going to the (D)'s gives you another 8 million for the Marxist/Socialist offering.

The electoral college should stay the same.
Many of those votes were from California and no matter the total count, the winner gets 55. This is what the original framers of the constitution wanted and that's what we'll get, until such time as it goes against my favorite candidate.

Assuming no one dies in the next 8 years, you have a valid point.[:)]

I can't believe the pessimism here by some. The most Conservative candidate since Reagan was just elected President in what was a miracle election, and already some are saying the left will take over again in a few years. Incredible!
Trump has the ability to now undo the past 60 years of leftist/Socialist rule over America, and you're already predicting doom?! [:(!]
What if he creates millions of good, non-minimum wage jobs in his first four years... won't that have an effect on people's voting patterns? Wouldn't a person who couldn't get a living-wage job under 'bama now vote Trump because he got a $20+/an hour job under Trump?
Those worried about 18 year-olds should realize the the VAST majority of them DON'T VOTE! That's VERY likely not going to change. They didn't in this past election and they likely won't in the next ones. Most kids don't care! They never have. They're too busy slobbering over Miley Cyrus or somebody like that.
Also, Trump is ALL for taking the power away from the leftist teacher union controlled "public" school system. Vouchers, Charter schools, Religious schools, Home schools - all those things that have been suppressed by the Demorat left for decades will now soon flourish under Trump. Hundreds, or thousands of schools will pop up and again become the way they were when we were kids - the left being thrown out of them.
Do you know who the biggest supporters of vouchers and charter schools are? Black inner-city mothers whose children have been lucky enough to get into a charter school or on a voucher program - or those who know such a child!
They know how much better those schools are for their children than the "public" ones - and Trump wants to make private schools available to everyone! If Trump is successful, how many of those black families will be voting for Trump his second term - or for his successor, who is just as Conservative as he is?
Trump has the very good chance of changing the voting patterns of this country - for the better. He can turn huge numbers of Americans away from Socialism and their worship of the welfare state.
Trump is TWO MONTHS from being inaugurated, but already you're condemning him to failure.
For God's sake, give him and America a chance!

Sounds like a perfect reason/excuse to crack a beer, sit on our *, and wait for the inevitable.
There are two kinds of people in the world. Those who look for a reason to stop. And those who work on a way to go forward.

Either you did not understand me, or I do not understand you.
The point was that Trump and his supporters are nowhere assured of eight years.
At age 70, under the stresses of the office, the man is not even guaranteed four.
The 8 I refer to is in millions of voters going to Marxist/Socialists. Me thinks Trump will not make it to serve two terms. he will be too old at 74 to handle a second term even if his health hold up and I hope it does.
Mike Pence would be a good choice for replacing Trump if his first term does not turn into Obama lite.
We live in interesting times.
The Urban areas dependent mostly upon government and sanctuary megacities such as LA, SF, CHI, and NYC harbor the most of DEMOCRAT voters.
Communist CA harbors more voters than almost all the rest of the states combined except socialist NY.
The RED/BLUE map offers a more realistic picture.

Agreed, give him a chance.
Your original premise, however, that Trump is the most conservative President elect since Reagan is fundamentally wrong.
In many ways, Clinton governed in a more conservative manner than did Reagan, as did Bush Sr.
Trump is to the left of Reagan, Clinton, and Bush Sr. It is a fundamental error to conflate nationalism with conservatism. There are positives in both, but, frankly, taxpayer funded day care, a $ 1 Trillion infrastructure program, a pledge to protect Social Security payouts, and the threat of punitive trade tariffs are a long way from conservative.
He is not fiscally conservative (not good).
He is not socially conservative (good).
Not seeing the conservative in the man, myself.
