She worked at Autozone and corporate came down and said they did not have enough minorities working there. They had 7 people working there and 6 males and 1 female. 3 were Mexican and 4 were white. They were told they had to hire a black female. My daughters hours went from 36 a week to 27.
They have a budget for pay hours and they can not go over it. So they had to cut every ones hour to stay in there budget.
Now she works at a pawn shop.

Sorry, just my rant.
I said a generic one will do. He said I am hard of hearing and can't understand you, so I took the paper on the counter and wrote GENERIC OIL PREASURE GAGE LINE KIT. Then He got this attitude with me saying it's not his fault he couldn't hear me, I said who's fault is it you cant read? went to another counter person at that time he apologised for him saying not the first time but should be the last. he then showed me 2 different types with copper and plastic lines. I payed for the plastic and left.

Where I work, they hire by numbers as well. As long as the demographics are right they don't care. Generally about 30% of the people do about 90% of the work. On a typical shift I do 3 people's jobs. The other two people sit in the break room or walk around visiting. [:(!]

She should notify the EEOC.
She is not protected in my state unless she is a black woman or a white man over 50.
What would the EEOC do for her? She did not get fired, she just had her hours cut, just like many other working class americans.
