Why Is My Wireless Modem Clicking?

I have DSL service from SBC. When they set me up, they sent me all the stuff to do it in a big box. I have a "2Wire" wireless PCM/CIA modem in my laptop. It works fine.
Today, I noticed for the first time that it clicks. Every so often, the light flashes, and it makes a soft clicking noise for 10 or 12 clicks, and then it stops. It isn't annoying, but I wonder if it means my modem is going bad.
