The only company in the world that manufactures their optics in house including glass is Schmidt-Bender.

Almost all the others out source. Almost all glass is made in Asia and for many companies scopes and other optics are also assembled there.

Even Leupold and Burris source their glass from Asia.

You are correct, it is not just glass, but many other scope parts are made abroad and assembled in the USA. People that think scopes are MIUSA need to rethink.

I have a set of Vortrex Bino's and they are very good for what I payed for them.

    Like these:

I use them a lot when I am working and they have traveled all over and been in all kinds of weather and terrain. They never fogged up and have been waterproof(yes they got submerged a few times).

All Vortex scopes are made overseas. I bought a Vortex 3-9x40 Diamondback about six months ago. The scope has turned out to be a disappointment. The .25 moa adjustment are not even close to being .25. The clarity of the glass and low light performance are on par with a Bushnell Banner. I should have spent the extra 20 bucks more and went with the Leupold VXI or a leftover Bushnell 3200.
