SNL is known for irreverent satire. They offend everyone. Nothing new there.

I thought it was the best skit of the show, but that's not really saying anything.

They are "jumping the shark" in my opinion.

I've watched it a few times this season and it has been just plain awful. They just don't seem to get what is supposed to make improvisational comedy funny.

They are trying desperately to stay relavent when they desperately lack talent.

    The commercial was funny.

Those that wanted to be offended and became so are, IMO, wound just a bit too tightly.

That said, the show has lost quite a bit these past 6 - 8 years. It is a shame. The 40th anniversary celebration really highlighted how the writing and acting has gone down hill.

I can't remember the last time I watched SNL.

It's very doubtful, it was in this century.

I'm with ya...this "I have a right not to be offended" culture is a real drag. Lighten up Francis.

I hardly ever give a care what SNL does, and this is not an exception to that. If anything I thought the "joke" was equating our military to ISIS, and for that reason found it unfunny, just like most of their material since 1992 or so.

Not a fanboy of SNL, I find them a libtard outfit with their head up their 4th point of contact but, I looked at the skit and I thought it was right on the money.

Did not see it. Maybe I'll look for it on YouTube.

My inclination would be to give SNL a pass ... not that they need one.

You havent missed much. there were a few bright spots over the years, but few and far between.

That skit had the opportunity to be really funny, but skirted it too much.

I hadn't seen it so I had to look it up on youtube. It was pretty much the same as all the SNL material I have seen in the last decade. You can see the punchline coming from a mile away and they make you wait forever to get there. 50 years of fluoridated water and this is what you get.

I know that I saw SNL back in 83. I remember that because I was a Junior in HS. Back then I had better things to do with my time. [8D]

Aw, come on! Back then, SNL made it cool to stay home on Saturday night.

SNL Wasn't that the show that had that famous dead comedian Gilda Radner as a cast member?
