The answers they gave us is that the material, zipper, snaps are made in the USA, material is cut in the USA and everything is sent to Dominican Rep. for assembly.

We try to buy as much "Made in the USA" products as we can. It is very hard to do that with this type of product line. 5.11 is made in Vietnam, others brands are in Indonesia or China. We also like the quality of the Tru Spec line of clothes and gear but they are also made overseas with some USA made product. When our competition is selling China made product at 10 to everyone 1 our USA made products due to the price, we have to carry both to stay in business. We are one of only two Uniform Shops in this area. Plus we are the new Kid on the block up against a shop that been in business 30 years. The one plus we have is the FFL which the other shop does not have. Starting a new business is not easy and everything in our shop we "own" it is pay for and no one is owed any money. We have sunk most all our money into this family business and hope all the hard work the whole family has put into it pays off for our kids.[:0]

if the cloth is cut here and the other parts are made here and the lot is sent over seas to be stitched, its better than an entirely foreign manufactured product, but i agree it deceptively marketed. of course, you also have to note that the cloth is cut here. they are evidently mum on where the cotton is grown and woven(likely overseas), so at the end of the day it would seem that this product is mostly foreign with just enough done here to be able to slap a made in america(sort of) label on it.

im not one of those made in america zealots. if a foreign product is right next to a domestic product and the domestic is priced unreasonably high, i'll go for that; but i dont chase the made in use stuff and i dont use it as my core belief like our domestic manufacture preacher on here...

What good are unhemmed pants, except for timber felling?
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

True, black (or brown) may be a better choice for commando days.

I like New Balance running shoes. One pair says Made in USA and the other made in the USA of imported materials. That is a label that is easy to understand.
