Will you be having oyster dressing??
Never had it up until a few years ago, after reading about it here on the forum. Denise has made it for me ever since. Love it. [:p][:p][:p][:p]

The wife's side of the family has a recipe they are very proud of.

My grade school daughter finally broke the ice and fessed up that she really didn't care for it. And stop heaping it on her plate. I , and many other adults have been eating it out of politeness for decades.

Don't know if it's the oyster dressing itself, or the poor execution of it. But we don't do it anymore. And I have no desire to try a different version.

Love oysters. Love dressing. But together, a big nope.

Total Holliday replacement by a sourdough sage sausage dressing that ROCKS!

Not since my MIL died. She made a fantastic Oyster dressing.
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

    +1 [:p]

I had oyster stuffing one time with turkey and nearly broke a tooth on an oyster shell. Just a bad preparation I know but 60 years of traditional sausage & sage dressing with celery & onions MAKES my Thanksgiving complete!

I really like oysters. My sister used to make that but never when I was around. When it comes to oysters, I don't eat them much anymore. I'll tell you what it is. Its that sack of green stuff on the oyster. I know what it is and I just can't wrap my head around eating that. But I really like them.

    No oysters here.

But how many of you find a handful of raisins and/or shopped dried apricots works wonders in your dressing? It's nothing that MY family would ever have done, but my in-law clan does. And I like it!

dont do oysters, but oyster dressing is an entire different story

most people get turned off by the mental picture of it having oysters, and i bet many people that enjoy worcestershire sauce have no clue it contains anchovy as a main ingredient
