Will you be having oyster dressing??
Never had it up until a few years ago, after reading about it here on the forum. Denise has made it for me ever since. Love it. [:p][:p][:p][:p]

Wish my Aunt Cora was still alive. She made the best oyster dressing!
Merc
My grade school daughter finally broke the ice and fessed up that she really didn't care for it. And stop heaping it on her plate. I , and many other adults have been eating it out of politeness for decades.
Don't know if it's the oyster dressing itself, or the poor execution of it. But we don't do it anymore. And I have no desire to try a different version.
Love oysters. Love dressing. But together, a big nope.
Total Holliday replacement by a sourdough sage sausage dressing that ROCKS!
The wife's side of the family has a recipe they are very proud of.

+1 [:p]
I had oyster stuffing one time with turkey and nearly broke a tooth on an oyster shell. Just a bad preparation I know but 60 years of traditional sausage & sage dressing with celery & onions MAKES my Thanksgiving complete!
No. Not. Never.
Ewwwww gag!!![xx(]
My BIL loves that nasty stuff! Not surprising either. [:p]
But how many of you find a handful of raisins and/or shopped dried apricots works wonders in your dressing? It's nothing that MY family would ever have done, but my in-law clan does. And I like it!
Born and raised on the gulf coast...no...but my mom made "Chicken and Oyster Gumbo"....the very best in seafood and chicken..!!
Hmm... We always had Oyster Dressing... Last year I think mom picked them all out cause the girls were complaining that they didnt get any... This year my MIL is here and we are not having Oysters....
most people get turned off by the mental picture of it having oysters, and i bet many people that enjoy worcestershire sauce have no clue it contains anchovy as a main ingredient
