.......... or maybe not that high. The NCAA regional finals doesn't even rate viewing on a national network. Even after CBS paid, what a billion dollars or something for the rights to it they aren't showing it on the CBS national network channels.
It's cable or nothing. I know it's all about the money. CBS did not even show the Louisville game in the Louisville market.
I've said for years the new rules and what not are ruining basketball. I think the proof is here looking at us. I know when they put class basketball in play in Indiana the attendance at high school games across the state fell way down, even in the state tourney. Seriously, it is sad to attend games and see so many empty seats.
I love college basketball but with the strait commercialization of the sport I have watched less and less these past several years. It looks like I am not alone as the past few years even many major games in the NCAA tourney no longer make a national market viewing.
The Kentucky game will not be shown on a network channel in the Louisville market tonight. One of the biggest fan bases in the nation doesn't even rate according to CBS.

Sweet Lord, there are now five ESPN channel. Five.
Absolutely ZERO interest in it...YMMV..
No strategy. No offensive planning. Ratball. Played by idiots.
I just read that last nights Kentucky/Notre Dame tv ratings were up 53% compared to the same comparable game in last years elite eight.
That may be as practically every Catholic I know was interested in that game, but it did not air on a local network channel. The bottom line is more people in the Kentucky market would rather watch drama TV than basketball.
I've watched the games I could this year and all the TV time outs really makes it less and less fun every year. I swear, I will not buy a coke all year after watching all those commercials.
