Friend wants a 410 Shotgun

Actualy a 20 guage would be a better choice even though I like the .410.

20 gauge because the cost of shells are reasonable. I would not wish a .410 on anyone with the price of ammo.

Look at a Rossi matched youth combo. Not only get a 410 but a .22 or .17 rifle barrel to go with it.

Thats Right.. 410 unless you reload or dont shoot it much can get expensive,, I reload my 410 shells as I shoot 8 boxes of em a week..The cheapest I can buy them,, AAs ,, is 8.90 per box, compaired to reloading for 2.25 per box.Some places they are 10-14 per box... However if he insists on a 410 for sport, or Hunting, a Remington 1100 is great.. Makes a great Skeet gun also.....But if cost is a problem then go with a 20 gauge....

Remington 1100 also comes with choke tubes....5 of em.....Not many people are profecient with a Pump Gun where speed counts...I let guys at the skeet range try my Savage pump skeet 410 and they cant pump it fast enough to hit the doubles...[^][^]

Best I've done with a .410 pump is 19 or 20 I think. Used a friend's Red Label .28gage with .410 sleeves in it and hit 22 with it. Was pretty happy about that....

Whatever is available cheap and in good condition at the pawnshop. It's not like you're going into battle with it. I've got an old Iver Johnson single that I paid $40. for that has dispatched many an unwelcomed varmint.
