Last night.
Got a smoking deal on 4 4 wt calves and ran to pick them up, buy the time I arrived home it was dark thirty, luckily Youngest son and 3 Grandkids and 1 of their friends we here at the house for Sunday dinner.
I enlisted their help and we stuck a rope on both ends, stretched them out and branded them.
Normally wouldn't have been an issue but I have leave for work this morning and I wasn't about to have 4 calves running around for a month slick..
We have a local outfit whose LLC name is "Load'em in the dark cattle Co, guess our new name will be "Brand'em in the dark".
Things are always just a dull roar at our house.

They were pretty waspy , had to use a neck loop until they got them mugged, then two the front and two on the heel rope, was pretty good watching them kids, they had fun.
