No checks deposited in accounts. Show up for a test. 1/2 won't ..already a winning situation. Other half will fail.

    Quite interesting indeed.

Seems Donald has been laying the groundwork to combat fraud.

Reviving the 140 year old law that allows govt employees to be fired first, now this. Well played Donald, well played.

But the government is going to keep right on raking in the sin taxes on the drugs they approve of, alcohol and nicotine, right?

Does that include a pay check or did the Civil Service insert a clause forbidding it?

When you lack the facts, make them up.

The fact is that the welfare recipients have been given 30 days notice of an upcoming test. More than adequate to test clean...And then the scummy bureaucrats claim a very low drug test failure rate.

Only scummy moron bureaucrats would fail to see the flaw in their 'plan'.

    Sho nuff.

    What's not to like??

I would settle for someone yanking a knot in OSHA. Their latest- all you evil employers that require post accident drug testing are discouraging employees from reporting injuries.

And the same goes for assigning people to remedial training if they are in an accident.

If you do that you will be punished by OSHA.

    Time for a housecleaning.

well since i posted earlier today, i called my doc to refill my prescription for a pain pill, and sleeping pill, nurse called back and said my script was ready I GOT FREAKEN DRUG TESTED to get my prescription

and yes braz in 2011 florida passed a law after months of legislature { aka notice} 1,600 refused to take it 7,000 did with a less than one percent failure rate

as did many other states, 100 may not have been correct, but they still had plenty of notice , and several where picked , you actually believe there was only 8,600 welfare recipients in the entire state, i have a sweet track of land to sell you

florida currently spends 6.9 billion on welfare with a population of 20 million , ya sure it all goes to 8,000 people

Now we need to test the "public servants" in Congress, State Legislatures, and ALL public offices. Right after testing any Federal Appointees from the last 10 years.

Fact is I had an employee who did a great job and was is a pot smoker. Not at work but still a user of an illegal drug.

He cut himself with a razor knife in an on the job accident, I don't personally believe it had anything to do with his marijuana use based on his usual performance but it would require a pee test.

He punched out and went to a private physician and paid for his stitches to avoid the pee test. So it does happen.

Is that a bad thing? I don't know, not my place to deal with it I had left the company.
His choice saved the company money and they didn't have to fire him or treat his addiction.

I am not aware of the particulars regarding the unconstitutionality of drug testing people to obtain Government benefits.

    But come on why not?

Drivers can be subjected to drug/alcohol testing based on the presumption of guilt by a police officer.

Employees can be tested and fired based on random drug testing results.

So why is it so hard to accept. I like the idea that those who are using will forgo the benefits that they would most likely abuse anyway to avoid the test. Does it harm the children? Not anymore then the user does anyway.

It is well past time for America to say, pull up your pants, watch your language in public places, provide financial and moral support for the children you bear, you may not be an A student but disruptions in school won't be tolerated and BLOCKING traffic to protest your * complaints is illegal.

    Not such bad things.

    Great Idea!!!!

You can be certain the whining, crying DEMOCRAT controlled media will be out saying DJT will starve children, and are bias, misogynists, and the usual hateful hyperbole.

I would prefer welfare be a "hand up" instead of a lifetime benefit for those to lazy or stupid to work.

A 'ONE TIME lifetime' award for a year maximum.

    [8D]

Agree, but that was never the intention of these programs. As LBJ put it, his war on poverty was created to secure years of DEMOCRAT party votes.

What could be wrong with testing everyone who receives Govt money?
Starting at the top President on down to the lowest Govt Position(City, county, state,Federal. Then all the fraud and theft would also stop!

    I could be wrong

The issue is....someone else gets the kids and the same amount of money ends up going to them.

No money is actually saved, but I bet the government needs to hire 1,000 more people to administer and supervise the program.

I bet it actually ends up costing MORE!

How about just turning off the free money switch a little at a time. Food stamps will be reduced 33% this coming year. 33% more the following year and you guessed it ... OFF year three.
