Just got the weekly ad and Safeway has Progresso for .99 cents a can and it doesn't mention there's a limit. Perfect timing since I'm all out of Chunky. It's been a while since I had Manhattan Clam Soup. Gots to stock up.

Yosh, you could always just boil up some water and start adding whatever you have on hand. Just avoid using any rocks or stones!![:0]

Just because someone wrote a book called "Stone Soup" doesn't help you much if you are hungry![:D]

Better watch the sodium levels in canned soup. I knew a guy who ended up in the hospital with sodium poisoning because he was basically living on cheap chicken noodle soup.

Get the New England in case you have some normal folks over.
You can just add ketchup to basterdize it to Manhatten. [;)]

    I got an assortment.

Oh I got some Sapporo Ichiban noodles in a bowl (I spell checked [:D]) to keep in the trunk. I was reading the chart on the side and it has 100% of daily dose of sodium [:0][:0][:0]. Never seen a serving that had a 100% of daily of salt before.

I throw the flavor packets away, and mix in my own spices

Progresso Manhattan Clam Chowder... add about a teaspoon of Tapatio sauce. Makes it much better. Of course, it makes a lot of food much better

Hmmm.. At my go to grocery store, they had Progresso on sale at 1.69 a can with a buy two and get one free deal.

Taxing my brain cells for mathematics story problems is just what I needed on this very busy day![:(!]

That easy. You (okay maybe not YOU) don't even have to whip out your toes to figure this one out. Basically 3 cans for little over $3 bucks. Not bad if you're gonna stock up. Since "Winter Is Coming".

The first think I notice about any canned soup ... is how salty it is. And I used to eat it near' every day.

Now baked beans, cold from the can, there's a crowd pleaser. Campbell's Pork & Beans is a belly filler, 50? a serving. Even though Campbells claims a 'serving' is ? a cup.

That's more like a taste. I usually eat 10oz at a sitting. 2.5 x 440mg sodium ... guess I'll * my death somehow. Funny how they do not taste as salty.

Campbells Chunky clam chowder is one of my favorites. In a bowl with crackers, over hot biscuits it's all good. I usually add pepper and sometimes shredded cheese.
