A good 75% seem to have,as of late. Their are still a couple that a watch, that are still a series of spot n stalk or ambush hunts.Sure seems like the lions share are no more than 1/2 hr.programs dedicated to selling the viewer/hunter THEIR PRODUCT!!
They still contain some great hunting footage but, the dialogue is strictly aimed at YOU BUYING OUR PRODUCT!![:(!]

Who do you think finances the shows??

I was supposed to go film an episode with Jason and the Outdoor Channel outfitters next week, but the producer just called and there is some problem. We'll have to postpone again. And yes, we will be discussing GunBroker.com throughout the episode!

The hunting magizines are all the same way, I love the way they discribe the point of taking a shot:

Then I used my Nikon Prostaff 550 laser rangefinder to properly gauge the range, when 342 yards came up I knew that my Hornady Superformance with the 150gr SST bullet would be dead on the second dot on my Nikon Monarch 3-12X42 BDC's reticule, right as the deer came up to the proper spot the Savage accutrigger broke at a perfect 3.5lbs sending the bullet out of my Savage 110pc, I hardly felt the recoil of the bullet because of the Limbsaver recoil pad that was working in unison with the Magna Ported barrel.

And none of this would have been possible with out your scent killer products.

yep, they're pretty gay. im not too sure what to think about the tifanny chick showing off her fake tits in front of her husband.

sex sells, but you don't pimp out your wife.

the canned hunting shows are even worse and make real hunters look bad.

The part I hate most is the hushed, stealthy whisper conversations.
If the animal doesn't notice the video camera, lights, microphones etc., they certanly will not notice a normal voice.[:)]
It's being willing. I found out early that most men, regardless of cause or need, aren't willing. They blink an eye or draw a breath before they pull the trigger. I won't. ~ J.B. Books

Alright kids, today we're gonna go out with my $500 of camo, $2000 rifle, and $1500 scope, and shoot a deer at 50 yards within the first 30 minutes of our hunt.

I don't waste my time watching them. Long time ago I did watch a few, now it is more like a story book hunt, to me.

It was supposed to be for pheaseant. This one is to get Jason (or NASCAR driver) out on his first hunt and we have a very nice shotgun that is engraved with the GunBroker.com logo on one side and the #23 Truck on the other side (both inlaid in gold. Awesome work)

The shotgun will get donated to a charity and auctioned of on GunBroker.com

hunting isn't a spectator sport IMO...
It's almost as exciting as golf or bowling with no one to root for.
Would you watch tiger woods play by himself? especially if he is playing courses you will never see in your whole life, playing a course with no hazards, 100 yard wide fairways and flat greens with 18 inch holes?
It would get old in a hurry, unless you just like seeing animals get killed?
I like to hunt them but I get no thrill out of seeing others do it.
    Fishing too, god thats boring.
Now, if the guys from pawn stars or OCC went hunting together on public land that would be a show...

We will announce it. I think we are going back to our original plan of opening day for Quail in south Georgia this fall. (Last fall it got rained out.)

Free market at work. If you don't like it don't watch. I seldom watch one, not so much because of the advertisement marketing stuff rather because of the false perceptions.
