Not knowing your Weapon

How many people had an accidental gun discharge by removing the loaded magazine thinking the gun was empty and did not check the chamber of the firearm.

How about this guy. He shot himself and died with no bullet in the cartridge case.

And like some of us, we wouldn't think a revolver would kill u, with out bullets in the gun.

Jon-Eric Hexum? He shot himself with a blank pistol. The unburned powder killed him.

Despite being a prop gun with blanks, the wadding was fired with enough force to send skull fragments into Hexum's brain, causing massive hemorrhaging. He was taken off life-support six days later. Australian actor Antony Hamilton was brought in to play another member of Harper's team, stepping in while Harper was away on assignment. Later, it was revealed that Hexum's Harper character was killed in action. The show was cancelled after the one season.

Jason Lee was shot with a .44 also, the difference is that the prop folks somewhere had allowed a primer loaded dummy in the gun, it pushed the bullet into the barrel, later when fired with full power blanks he was shot in the stomach and bled out. It was here in Wilmington, NC when He was filming the Crow. A bunch of negligance occurred for him to hae been killed. He was shot by a fellow actor that at first thought he was really "acting" the part, but instead he had be eviserated.

The kid that was killed with the toy cannon was killed by Gas the autopsy said not by a projectile. Must have shot the gasses into him somehow

In our battalion, during Basic Training maneuvers, a GI put an M1 Garand loaded with a blank against anothers belly and killed him.

I remeber that show. History lesson with "Indiana Jones" "Time Bandit" style.

I stand corrected. I think the show I listed was similar but came around much later.
