Wife went shopping today at Kohl's (big sale).

She bought me 4 shirts and one pair of lounging slacks.

1-Made in Mongolia
1-Made in Jordan
1-Made in Indonesia
1-Made in Cambodia
1-Made in Nicaragua

Got me to thinking that, obviously, a very large portion of our trade deficit has to be clothing.

....Any sort of clothing or socks or shoes or electronics or....well you get the idea. Try to find a simple thing like an electric fan made in the USA. Good luck. Farm & Fleet still carries quite a bit of stuff made here. Especially gloves, work boots and livestock equipment.

The only thing "Made in the USA" means, is that the majority of the cost to manufacture the product was spent in the USA. Example: Take you average baseball bat. It could be made in Japan for about $2. Stamping "Made in the USA" on it costs $5. Therefore, the majority of the cost was spent in the USA, so it can be labled as such. Interesting, huh?
