Who saw L/3/25 Marines in Iraq?

It was on tonight on A&E, 2 hours. Lots of footage taken by the Marines on cam/corders, with voice over narration and interviews. That conflict has a lot in common with the tactics used in Vietnam. Guess I'll need some meds to get to sleep tonight.

I watched it twice....I was thinking about how much restraint it took to not kill every man woman and child in every town where IEDs were found or where people harbored insurgents.....I would end up in levenworth after one time their cowardice led to my buddies getting killed

i watched it. now i understand why the marines are accused of killing 20 "civilians". the civilians are the combatants and the civilians are the ones watching the terrorists plant bombs and doing nothing about it. the civialians are the ones letting the terrorists use their house to store weapons and explosives. i say kill anyone who assists the terrorists even if it includes men women and children.

Yep... that's what we went over there for... to kill 'em all and prove how tough we are because as we all know, it takes a big man to kill unarmed women and children.

Emm- As a well known freedom hating commie I would expect nothing less from you. You never mentioned if you did in fact see the show on A&E, nor did you post any first hand expierence from your tour of duty in Iraq or Afghanistan.

    cool it.

I recently met a few soldiers and Marines that have returned from duty in Iraq. One of the comments was that they would train the local Iraqi's for military/police duty, then some would turn out to be terrorists as when done with the training they'd take their training and equipment and go to the other side, where they'd start shooting at the US & US led Iraqi's. I hope the country can get a handle on the problem and the US troops can return home, but regardless, I think the world is a safer place because of the changes in Iraq.

    Dave W.,

"Freedom-hating commie?" As opposed to what, you, the freedom-loving child-killer? Gimme a break - I'm no more a commie than you are a child-killer. I was merely commenting on the machismo of some posters who just gotta prove how tough they are by advocating shooting unarmed women and children.

Its not a question of just killing women and children, it a means of surveil.Kill them before they kill you.Nothings changed since 1965, just the name of the place your stuck fighting in.Nuke the enemy once and for all, less people have trouble sleeping at night, less G.I.'s come back maimed. The next sucker will think more then twice before messing with us.Wake up you all, war is worse then hell for those at the front line.Just for grins wake up tomorrow mornining and act like you just lost one leg or one arm.Thats not the worst that could happen to you , but just try it for one day.How many of you would want just a little bit of the cancer removed if the cancer was in your body?

    EMM,
Just a typical scenario encountered in Iraq...
Imagine seeing an 8 year old boy shooting at you. Honestly, what would you do? Shoot back? Duck and run? Try to talk to him? Come on, let's hear it.
