P-Mex is government owned, and the price of gas is subsidized by the government. It is also crappy gas.

I wouldn't want to put that fuel in my car/truck.

US warranties become invalid if you drive to Mexico.

There is a reason for that!

Pemex gas smells funky. I guess they do the best they can.
A VW van will run ok on Pemex.

Now that is another one that I have never heard anywhere but Gun Broker. I've driven two of my cars in Mexico on several occassions, filled up with gasoline, drove home and never had any probelm with service or warranty issues at my dealer and the cars ran fine on Pemex premium. This is another one I'd like to see in print: Operation of your vehicle in Mexico will automatically void your factory warranty.

oh for crying out loud, its the same f***ing gas.

I guarantee you that some of our companies import gasoline from Mexican refineries

According to this all Pemex premium fuel is imported from US refineries in Texas.

    http://www.rversonline.org/ArtMexFuels.html

    PREMIUM

Mexico's newest gasoline, is also it's best effort to date. Premium gasoline is found all over Mexico now. Only very rural tiny gasolineras will be minus this grade of gasoline. Premium has an octane rating that's equivalent to name brand US premium gasoline. All of Mexico's premium grade gasoline is refined in a Texas refinery. Premium, does not seem to contain the Additive "MTBE" found in California fuels, and has successfully powered many turbocharged sporty import cars. Because it is a USA product Premium fuel is touted as being "UBA" or Ultra-Bajo-Azufre (ultra-low sulfur)

couldn't be any worse than gas from casey's general store around here

i guess some of you are content at paying 4.25 a gallon while the country beneath us gets a 40% savings from government subsidies, no wonder the united states forks out billions in relief to Mexico their giving it away, and need our tax dollars

i'm at 250.00-300.00 a week in gasoline myself

Will filling up at Casey's void my warranty?

no but it should, reminds me of the old watered down leaded crap that when you turned off the engine it still keeps running, with worse gas mileage, and loss of power

Pemex is not the same as American fuel, at least it wasn't twenty years ago. That Pemex just smelled funky!

I don't know about your warranty, but your US insurance is no good in Mexico and I know why.

Could not agree more! Just because "someone told me", hardly makes it true! I'll be the idiot that posted this crap does not respond with anything to back up this claim.

    You're looking for the ? key? [;)]

Yep, we heard ScottyMac gloating about this last week.
I can't say I'd take the trouble to drive that far out of my way.
