NRA CONVENTION in review

Well I went to the NRA's annual meeting\convention in Milwaukee this past weekend. It was AMAZING!! I was so impressed by both the city and the convention itself. Anyone and everyone in the gun culture\community was there! When we arrived friday afternoon our first step was to attend the "M1 Garand" symposium. I had considered myself reasonably well versed on US Rifle caliber 30 M1. Compared to the people they had speaking, I am an abject moron! I learned a lot. It was a great experience. Among the "Celebrities," that I encountered was the president of RCBS and Ronnie Barret. I was able to talk to both of them. I talked to the rep from Surefire Flashlites, and explained how while I like there product the light bulb in mine had failed me while I was in Iraq due to sand becoming introduced into the bulb. The guy asked me what version I had, and then gave me a replacement part on the spot!! NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE!! The high lite of my weekend would have to be when I was priviledged to meet the host of Mail Call, R. Lee Ermey! "Gunny," is employed as a representative of "Team Glock." He was there signign autographs and talking to fans for all friday and saturday. It was definately a thrill to meet him.
If you have never had the opportunity to attend SHOT show or the NRA convention, I strongly recomend you try to. Oh as a side thought gunbroker.com had a booth there and were giving away free beer "Cozies," to attendees that were either gunbroker members or could show that they were familiar with the website.

GB 4 EVER!
Every gun store I go in I tell them about this site!
Most recent was the GUN SITE on nicholasville road.
The guy that runs that shop is a good guy! And is one of the few stores here locally that I visit

That sure seems backwards to me. One would think that they would provide promotional materials to those who were not familiar with the site. [?]

I shouldn't have to actually go see the Surefire Rep to get a light fixed under warranty. Their warranty service has been an absolute embarassment as far as I'm concerned. I've been trying to get my light fixed for 3 years. I've given up.[:(!]
I wonder if they'd recognize the "plumber"
Everyone loves their plumber.
