I don't know why but suddenly when I try to use the stamp tool a blue dot appears instead of copying the area for dupication. I can't make it quit doing this and I have no idea why it started. Can anyone tell me what's going on and how to correct it?

    No matter what size I choose it makes a blue dot when when I click ALT to select an area to reproduce. Small dots if I have small size selected and big dots if I have selcted a larger size.

    I don't know about element. What's that?

    Duh. I don't know why this just occurred to me but I opened PS and right clicked (pulls up hidden menus) on the stamp tool and saw two options. Clone (what I always use) and a "pattern" selection. Not sure what that it is but I somehow had it selected. Fixed now.

    Yes.

    Controlling one's selection was a big deal in school.

    [Didn't transfer over when applying the practice to daily intercourse;
    but, if you could !!!. You is BMOC!.]

    That program will stop dead if you have a tiny, forgotten spot selected, and one is trying to opperate commands anerywhere else. The trouble starts when you cannot see the forgotten selected spot. [Select all; Deslect all].

    I never overcome this problem until I have alot of Photo-shopping to do. That is when the school stuff kicks in.

    The part of Photoshop that blows the mind [to me] is the never-ending options of lighting a selection.
