When I open the Spelling Correct function while using a browser, it pops up in front of the browser window.
I correct my post, and have to close it in the usual way, to get it out of the way.
The keyboard command "Apple + W" closes the browser window,
instead of the uppermost window [the Spelling edit box].
Any clue as how to close the Spelling Edit box via a keyboard command?
Thanks.

If someone will not read through 1000 pages for me, I'll keep sliding the Spelling Text Winwow to the side.
Or closing it the Windows way of doing things: clicking on the little Red Button.
There might not be a way of closing it via Keyboard Commands;
I am, afterall, using a Text program while using a Browser program.
Thanks for looking in to it. As conpensation for your efforts, I give you a great sunset. Look West.
Say WHAT??????
Here's the Spelling Box I see ...
And it seems to be part of the browser function, but it is from a differrent program.
What the hay. I'll dfeal with things until my speling gets better.
Ask a question and tell me you are too lazy to see the obvious?

I've seen the Cheat Sheet of Keyboard Shortcuts, but others, I'm sure, appreciate the link.
Also, the local Sensei has been contacted. No dice.
And, on my own, a few dozen combinations to undo Command + Shift + : are no good. No luck on undoing the appearance of the Spelling Check box.
Although I did find commands to scroll through the various suspect misspellings.
