Somebody bring me Ice cream.[:D]

quote:Osam is shorthand for ojingau-samgyupsal. Ojingau= Squid, Samgyupsal: pork belly]

Koreans feel that the spicier the food, the better for stress relief, and osam-bulgogi is one of the most popular spicy Korean dishes. This dish is saut?ed squid and pork in spicy sauce with various vegetable of your choice. You can also choose to omit the squid or pork. The best part of about this dish is that like bulbogi sauce, I make at least double the amount of what I call "Korean Spicy BBQ Marinade" that I plan to use then cook other dishes such as "Dubu-Kimchi (#46160;#48512;#44608;#52824;, Kimchi-pork with Tofu)" at a later time. Another great option is if you have leftover osam-bulgogi you can chop up everything is small pieces and saut? the leftovers with rice to make a delicious spicy fried rice.

Nose is running, sweating that was the hottest I've had in a while. But it was good.

    mmmmmm...bulgogi.

    I like kimchi, too.

    Spicy is good.

Good idea to chase it with ice cream, too.

This was about twice as hot as their Pork or Beef Bulgogi. They have some great Kimchi too.

I got E-coli from some street prepared food outside of Osan AB, I've never thought of Korean food the same since

I was there 78/79, Camp Ames, Most every thing was good. Fried rice with a egg on top was the best.

We have a new Korean place here in Ogden. They make a great bulgogi, wonderful Korean pancakes, and much more. But my favorite item is their seasonal soup. The summer one is a cold soup I haven't had yet. The winter one is a seafood extravaganza with squid, mussels, shrimp, fish, and more, in a spicy sauce. I order it "Korean hot" -- and boy do they deliver on that!
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

Oh they threatened us with that. "don't eat food from the street vendors." we all did anyway. I don't think any of us got sick.

Nice thing about the base commissary here is that you can buy bulgogi sauce & kimchi, & make it at home instead of trying to find a decent restaurant.

My wife must be psychotic psychic.

She bought me kimchi & bulgogi for dinner tonight without me mentioning it!
