Met a marine veteran today

We were eating lunch together, he made that old joke
There is no such thing as a retired marine.
My responce was in the Air Force we not retired, we are put into extended storage till needed. He was a 21 year marine, he was forced to retire because of bad knees.
See how things work, might have a hunting buddy,

    If he was a grunt its amazing he made 21 years. That job wears a body out. That's why I was an engineer not as many miles on the old body.

    Also a good friend of mine up here is retired Air Force.
