found this bad boy the other day and have never seen one like it in this area. looks like some that I saw as a boy in Orangeburg sc but I was 12 when we left there. more species moving north? by the shape and patterns I'd say it was poisonous. it sure is a fast moving sucker.
sorry but I can't figure out the pic thing here. I got my wife to try and she is good with stuff like this and she commented "why do they make it so user unfriendly to post pics"

it's not all grey - there are some brown rings around legs.
what do you see in the pattern. if you are artistic you will see some weird chit. I saw a human face and an atomic bomb mushroom cloud.
but then again I've done hallucinogenics in the distant past.[:o)]

Actually, ALL spiders are venomous- that is how they eat. Some have fangs that are too short or weak to penetrate human skin.

The spider in the picture is a wolf spider - not a funnel web spider. I have never seen a funnel web spider outside of parts of Texas - New Mexico that I visited in 1969 - certainly I have never seen a funnel web spider in Alabama - Georgia or Florida.

It's really not hard to do, agreed. I think even the worls clas 22 maker/reseller could do it, IIRC.
