I bought an M-1 carbine case and a dummy 15-round magazine for my Ruger 10/22 "M1" conversion. They look great together!
The stock is from FTF Industries via GunBroker.com and they gave great service: http://www.GunBroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=333213078
I fired it yesterday. I was skeptical about the "military" peep sights but they were dead on. I love this little carbine! [:)]

Where did you get the mag and bag from??
Awesome.

I got the magazine here: http://www.1022fungun.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=19&idcategory=3
I have an older 10/22 magazine and the dummy snapped right in. I won't have to glue it!
I got the bag on eBay. I like it because it's fur-lined. Well worth the $20 I paid for it.
Love it!
Bet you don't have $1,600 into it either.
I'll refrain from any other 10/22 remarks concerning, well, you know who! [;)]
If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
Now that my friend, is a beautiful custom 10/22.[^][^]
Love it!

Hardly! The entire "makeover" cost me around $200.

Waiting to see which one I like More.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Kudos to you. it is sweet
And it's actually a 10-22 mod I might consider.
If I had a 10-22.
I'm thinking I might get one when the panic stops.
May have to pick one up from Bi-Mart new. If they have any. A stock was going to be my 1st change and that one looks right.
neat set up! did those sights come as part of the package?
No, I got the sights here: http://www.eabco.com/store/ruger-10/22-accessories/replica-m1-carbine-sights-for-the-ruger-10/22-liberty-rifle/
They also have adjustable TechSights but I like the flip-up peeps: http://www.eabco.com/m1_carbine_ruger_1022_tribute.htm
Very Nice! But couldn't you have added a "M C" behind the "U S" on the case?
We (brother and I) just ordered the carbine and rifle cases on Wednesday. They look good, and were priced right.
Happy Easter, Earl[:D]
The USMC-marked ones weren't lined.
Spider Did you notice FTF also carries the Sights and if so how are they Different from what you have. Besides Yours were $11.00 Cheaper[:o)]
Got the Stock Coming in.

I think they're the same.
Just a question....Does the front barrel band and wrap-around wood hand gards affect the grouping when it gets hot from prolonged firing??
I see myself shooting a LOT of ammo thru a gun like that.[:D][:D][:D]
Very NICE!!!

I dunno. It's been too damned cold to do any prolonged firing! [:(!]

how does the magazine work?
That is the best Custom 10/22 that I have seen in quite a while.
Yep!!!!!!

Again, I agree! That is really nice.
Still not sure I am going to get the kit for the carbine as we have a glenfield M1-.22 already in the arsenal.
There is also a conversion kit to turn the 10/22 into a tommy gun.

The dummy mag has lips at the top that fit into the bottom of the standard 10/22 mag. They recommend that you glue it with 2-part epoxy but I just used Tack Putty so I wouldn't ruin the original mag. It holds tight and I can always remove it.
Does the Handguard cover the area where the old rear sight comes off.
There's an opening cut in the handguard for the rear sight so you can still use it.
Hey, Spider! Now you can do the Flag raising at Iwo Jima since you will be more historically accurate than the one in Virginia. Just like John Basilone, you could do War Bond re-enactments and raise money for the Marines in North Korea. I could be "Chesty" and we could go get some payback. Then I'll cross the Yalu River this time, and erase that debt we owe Red China. Next, I will continue up through Russia and get some of those long legged tennis players![:p]
I'm ready!
