Fasting for blood tests this morning is no fun. There is way to many food commercials.

I feel for ya. Hope all goes well.

I was having a smallish blood sugar problem so they had me stay in the hospital overnight to "monitor me" they checked my sugars every hour.

My fasting at 7am was just 610. They were dumbfounded. My sugars went up all night, each and every test was higher.

The good thing was Doc found a med I was taking had a 1/10 of 1% chance of causing this to happen, I was the lucky guy. [:)]

Dropping that med, it was for restless leg syndrome, caused my sugars to fall back into proper reading for a insulin dependent fella, it was a rough ride for sure.

I have to fast once a year for blood work through the VA clinic. They are open at 8:30 AM and I have usually been first in line to get it done and out the door.

I really miss my morning coffee more than food in the AM.

I do breakfast on Sundays and most days only eat a light lunch and a pig out dinner.[:p]

Did that last week. Now, I seldom eat anything from supper to supper anyway, but just knowing I couldn't, had me starving at 8 AM!

    Peace

My wife thinks I'm nuts. I can usually go about all day without eating anyway. I forget why I had an appointment last year but they ordered blood work done and said I'd need to fast for 24 hrs and come back tomorrow. I told them I had not eaten since yesterday morning anyway. Surprised them and I didn't have to come back.

Would that be Carbidopa-Levadopa? My wife takes that for restless leg syndrome. She's not diabetic, but the drug does have some side effects.

Yes, sure was. It worked well for me. It took about 6 years for the problem to show up, but when it did it hit me hard.
