quote:Eugene(Oregon) police say a man posing as a Santa Monica Thats in California police officer is trying to get into local homes. He's white, 6'3'' tall, 200 lbs, clean shaven, light brown or blonde hair and has a black gun in a brown holster. He allegedly knocked on someone's door and offered reasons to come inside. He drove away in a gray sedan with white license plates and a large antenna. If you see him, call Eugene police.

Don't know about that, but pretty sure I wouldn't trust someone posing as a police officer.
Maybe his GPS is broken or the dispatcher gave him the wrong address?[:D]
Real police never show up at the wrong address, and if they do, they ...
What I have trouble believing is he has had people believe him.
Know most in my area if they come up saying they are from Santa Monica they will be in trouble.

Hello I'm Officer Jerkarf, I'm looking for Lindsy Lohan and we followed her ankle bracelet thingy to this address. Can I come in a talk with you for a few minutes?
They should have known he was a phony when he knocked on the door, instead of busting it in and shooting the dog.
LMAO!!

As a general rule we only do that on the first and third weekend of the month, and considering this Easter weekend it would be a definite no go.
