Leaving town You have to go up a small hill. I was picking up speed slow taking my time when All of a sudden it was like I was in Neutral. Tach jumped up and I slowed down.

Drove even slower after that. But my truck is pretty good about it kept going straight.

It is flat around here but with a record 1 foot of snow on the ground getting out on to the road is exciting. 4 wheel drive to get to the roads that are plowed.

Only Reason I drove my Truck Yesterday was my Driveway. Steep and covered in Frozen Snow. No way my Cruze would make it out and today will be the same.

On my commute home is a divided highway (2 lanes each way and a climb of about 12-15deg for an elevation increase of 250-300'. Last year it iced over and the drive up consisted of a line of traffic. Each car starting up when the one previous was half way. I remember catching up to and passing the 4WD in front of me that half way up when I started. He had fallen back 1/4 of the way and was spinning his tires going backwards. I was in my 4x4 but mashing the gas gets you nowhere fast. Slow and steady....

Found some spots today that are protected from the sun. Only way I could move was 4x4 and easing into it real slow.

So by tomorrow and the freezing rain I am staying home.

No need to go out no need to take any chances. I trust my driving but there are too many fools out there.
