2008 Tahoe LT 4 Wheel Drive Question?

I don't use the 4 WD option very often, but this morning, while duck hunting, I did need it. Worked fine for me--just turned the knob to 4 WD "high" and got out of the mud, but then I couldn't tell if it when back to "high" 2 WD when I turned the knob back to that position.

Is there a trick or two to tell if it is out of 4 WD--other that looking at the indicator light??

Just curious and thought some of you that use 4 WD often could offer some suggestions or tips.

Try spinning the wheels, if only the back two turn, there you go.[:D]

Even easier make a sharp turn, you will know if its still in 4X4.
