Bought a 95%+ Iver Johnson "Trailsman" last week. Had the original box, papers, hang tags and was made in Jacksonville, Ark. Looks and feels a lot like my Colt Woodsman. Do I need to put it away or just take it out and use it?

Got this one today at the local gun show, Ruger old model Single Six, Flat top three screw, UNFIRED, both cylinders .22 and .22 mag , 6 1/2 inch barrel, Havent seen many of these in such good shape. Not even any spin marks on the cylinders.

Picked up a slightly used RCBS 505 scale for $25.
Had my pick of 3 on the table.

Almost grabbed an NIB EOTECH 512 for $350, but I can get the same deal nearly anywhere. I'll have one someday soon.

    Dallas Market Hall show.

Plenty of ammo and reloading supplies if you are willing to pay the price. Lots of primers too, but at $40/1000 or 5-$6/100 individual.

AR's everywhere at $800 and up, lowers and built uppers all over.

Went to a small gun show today to try and sell a SIG Mosquito. Nothing wrong with the gun I just didn't care for it. Less than 2 minutes into the show a dealer asked if I would take $275 and I said no I want $300--a few seconds later I had $300 cash in hand. Looked around a bit and saw a older Charter Arms Bulldog in .44 Special for $275. I looked at it a bit and the guy then said "If you really want it I'll go down to $250 and throw in 50 rounds of factory ammo." Done deal and walked out with the gun and $50 in my wallet. It even fits in my El Paso Street Combat holster for my .38 Special. Should make a decent truck/knock around the woods gun. I owned a .38 Charter years ago but always wanted one of the .44's. I might even get a wild hair and have it cerekoted flat dark earth(saw a .38 done this way and it looked sharp).

Mobile Gun Show this weekend. Went Saturday and saw the usual assortment of common weapons. Nothing much to write home about, but did find something I have been wanting for a few years-a June, 1943 copy of National Geographic.

This issue had every current US military device and patch in full color. Many times I've come across a WWII patch or device and not had a ready reference to ID it. It also has all aircraft tail insignia in full color from all services.

I've seen them on eBay but just never bid. Nicer to see it in your hands before you buy. The articles and ads are really cool too![:)]

Found this new in the box Smith 19-3 at a local gunshow. I don't really prefer nickle finish, but this one was so nice I had to have it. Factory target trigger, hammer, and stocks, with the box with matching serial number. Appears to be unfired. 005.jpg

This is the Walther TPH I found at the last one. A quarter is in the picture so you can tell how big the Walther isn't. 008.jpg

I went to a downtown gun show in Springfield, Mo this weekend and wound up trading for a new Khan 12ga. semi-auto. Nice walnut stock, 3 in. chamber, three choke tubes. I got it with only $200 invested in it. Hopefully I'll get out in the next day or two and try iy out. I also saw some Norinco shotguns that were listed as a SPAS-12. I don't see any listed on the auction, but they were selling for about $150. Anyone seen any of these? It wasn't a very big show, but any gun show is better than none.

Hard work pays off in the future. Laziness pays off now.

3 of us went to a big gun show today and my buddy walked out with a Chinese SKS Military all matching and looked new from the box. 210 out the door, you don't find these very often and I'm glad he bought it or I would have had to float a loan and it would have came home with me. [:D][;)][:0]

Traded for a Taurus Model 450. For the unknowing in the group this is a 5 shot revolver with a 2" ported barrel chambered in .45LC. I picked up a box of 45 HPs to give it a try. Bet this thing is a real attention getter. [:0] I haven't had a chance to touch it off yet, but will soon. Will report back as to how much fun [:p] it is.

At the Ft. Worth gunshow there were two dealers selling Eotech knockoffs. They retailed for $109 and $219 respectivly.

I'll admit, they looked real good down to every detail 'cept for the missing Eotech logo. Same batteries, look, feel, weight and had a quick release model available.

I didn't buy either, but was sorely tempted.

Question: Where, besides the gunshow, could I buy one?
Anyone have a website to check?
I have only seen the real deal and that's probably what I would go with, but am thinking of getting a pair for my younger son's .22's.

I finally found something I wanted to see in person before I got one. It is a Walther TPH. Found one, made a good trade(included a S&W Model 36 made in 1967, almost like new with the box). Always wished for one of the blue ones made in Germany, but this is the stainless one made here. I can barely believe it, have to go upstairs and look at it again.

I wasn't in the market for anything really.........but, I couldn't pass on a Marlin "papoose" takedown 22 for a mere $65.00. Oh yeah, it even came with a cheap electronic dot sight on it. The guy's kid who I got it from had covered the stock with camo duct tape. Got it home cleaned it all up and now I plan on doing a proper camo paint-job on that stock. Neat little gun. Hope it shoots decently.

Found a nice rearsenaled Mosin Nagant M44 today at the gunshow. I thought for $80 I couldn't go too wrong. What else can you buy like new for $80?? The wife didn't even seem to mind.

Hey guys....I picked up the coolest little shotgun at a show this weekend. It's a Mossberg 183 K A. Bolt action .410. It's in pristine condition. Has inlayed brass diamonds in the fore-end of the stock and some really pretty custom wood inlays on both sides of the buttstock. The person who did all of this also put a brass medallion on the bottom of the stock in front of the trigger gaurd which has the intitials "JL". My initials are "JM" so....pretty close [:)]. I needed a .410 and I figure it will be a real challenge to hunt/ shoot skeet and trap with. Since my wife is now expecting it will also be my child's first shotgun as well as being perfect for my wife to use. It comes to my shoulder like it was meant to be so it will be hard to ever give it up.........I of course, need to shoot it first to see how I really like it. Anyone else have/ like/ like to comment on this model?

Edited to add that it has the 3-position poly-choke. Actually called the C-lect choke by Mossberg.....Full, Improved, and Cylinder.....SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a good wife, and don't keep secrets from her. As long as the bills get paid(and she works too), then whatever else happens is ok. Besides, she was with me when I bought it.
