I find food, treats, a favorite brush and a warm bed at night work fine. So to answer your question in a word, NO.

Well no we've got a new cat had it about 6 weeks (rescue cat) and your lucky if you can pet it for 3 minutes. It hasn't jumped up on anybody's lap yet, yet alone lick it. The other cat only comes by me when I'm sitting on the toilet, have no idea why. Then if I come in the kitchen she'll jump up on the kitchen table and look at me adoringly thinking she's getting a treat. So to answer the question no.

Obvious restraint is being shown here.

Well, I will admit I have.

But we were both pretty drunk......

We used to have a little white girl cat- Cordelia. Her response to anything was- give it a bath. Daughter stopped by to visit with grandbaby. Cordelia checked out the grandkid, sat and started giving her a bath.

We were puppy sitting for our son while he was on a deployment to Norway. Fido was a 75 lb Spitz. Cordelia checks him out, strolls over, climbs on his back and starts washing his face. Dog loved it.

However, I think I can restrain myself from licking the cat. If I try.

(Where the hell do they FIND these people?)
