This guy was pretty funny. He was a judge on "Last Comic Standing" and was on the recent Comedy Central Roast of David Hasselhoff.
Comedian Greg Giraldo died Wednesday in a New Brunswick, NJ hospital, five days after an accidental overdose. He was 44 years old.
Giraldo, who was a staple amongst celebrity roasts and appeared as a judge on Last Comic Standing, overdosed on prescription pills last week and remained hospitalized. His rep denied that the overdose was a suicide attempt.
According to TMZ, a public memorial for the late stand-up comedian is being planned.

Hoped he'd have pulled through and learned a lesson.
Maybe this will teach his peers something and set them on the straight and narrow.[V]
On another note, though I like stand up comedians, Mr. Giraldo was one I didn't like much.
Seen several of the 'new' celebratty roasts and they were nothing like the roasts of old.
When Mr. Giraldo was at the podium it was lame.
There may be hope for the future of this entertainment if people learn from it.
I feel sorry for his Momma and Daddy but, that's about it.
