On the other hand, someone has painstakingly built a hunting rifle, caliber .30-06, that is nicer looking, more reliable, and will last far longer than a Remington 742.
I wonder what the reserve is?
Capt. Jack Sparrow.
Otherwise it's very appealing work on as stout and trustworthy a rifle as you could ever want to go chase critters with.
Or targets.
Or Nazzies.
etc ...
I'd shoot it.
me too, wont be bidding but its nice enough.
Other than the jeweling I like it.
That's the only thing I DO like about it.
You up for splitting it?
Work a deal. You get the stock. I take the rest?
Well, it's an M1 so I can't "not like it"!
I sure as hell can [V]

I sent you a PM for an M1 question. You must have missed it.
A travesty, that's what it is. It's one thing to sporterize a '98 Mauser or '03 Springfield, but the M1 was never meant to be modded like that. Never.

I saw nothing from you in my e-mail. You can send the question again but I plan to go to bed early this evening.

NAILED IT IN ONE!
I see it as no better or worse than a customized 1911A1, 03A3, Enfield or Mauser.

Oddball and his "negative vibes" were a trip.
Hard to believe that movie is nearly 45 years old.
When that movie was made, WWII had only been over for 25 years.
The movie was made 43 years ago.
I played "war" as a kid with equipment that wasn't 10 years off the battlefield
Damn!!! I'm getting old.
Fortunately, I just looked at my wife, and she's still as young as when we got married 40 years ago.
Whew!!!
