Sight or Sound?

Was driving today.. which I seem to do way too much of lately.. anyway I wondered which one I would give up if I had to choose. There are so many things I would miss seeing and doing without sight but I am not sure that I could give up hearing because of my love of music.

So here is the question.. which would you give up if you had to Sight or Sound?

Sound , I find more often than not that I like it very quiet. Most days when driving around Houston , there is no radio on in the truck and I prefer it that way.

You may loose the ability to speak clearly if you loose you hearing. I'd choose to lose my sight over my hearing, for I am a HUGE music lover.

Hearing. More technology to assist/replace the loss - bone conduction could do a nice number for listening to music. Heck, it worked for Beethoven.

    Hearing.

I'd rather see than hear. I can always use a paper and pen if I had to, plus TV has closed-captioning.

The other neat thing is that I no longer would need hearing protection at the range.

I've often read that those who lose their ability to hear become more isolated than those who lose their sight. [:(]

Hearing... Then I wouldn't have to pretend that I'm not listening to people.

I'd rather lose my virginity- however, if the choice is vision or hearing- while they are both important, it's darned hard to shoot if you can't see- and losing your hearing does not cause you to fall over furniture in the house. There are deaf drivers. There are no blind drivers (just those that act like it)

As I age, both seem to be fading...I guess I will know when the first one finally gives out.

+1, I have 70% loss on my right side[:(] makes it hard to pinpoint sounds sometimes.
I have a friend who is legally blind, his wife is completely blind, I drive them around quite a bit, I would rather give up my hearing than my independence, especially in today's world, heck, my wife has even learned to send text messages, with the advent of computers & the internet, I don't see isolation as a problem, heck, I could be stone deaf, and none of you would know.
