Bushel of wheat

I can sell a bushel of wheat for almost $9. A barrel of oil cost $135 or so. The countries exporting all this oil import more than half of their food. I think we should start charging $135 a bushel of wheat to the oil producing countries and if they're not willing to pay that they can just eat their oil.

If you take the time to look (which you probably did not) the worlds largest oil exporter is Saudi Arabia and it has a population of under 28 million people. The Saudi's could purchase all of the grain that they could ever use from Argentina without so much as the blink of an eye and Argentina would still have plenty of grain left over to feed the other oil exporting Gulf States. We are not the only country on this planet growing wheat, beans, corn, rice and soy beans so if we tried to charge your suggested amount of $135 per bushel the stuff would be over flowing onto the ground and rotting in the sun before it was sold. On the other hand you sound like another prime new member for the Gun Broker Gang so I'm sure you'll have a long and happy posting life here.
