Watch Out! Panda's are Loose

Fake ones that is. Had a fellow come in today with three gold Panda's. They were in the paper coin holder, properly marked 100 Yuan and dated 1988. Also the standard 1 OZ AU was there. Guess what? Only 26 grams!

They LOOK okay, but unless you know what you're doing or you have a scale, I would be real leery of messing with anything from China now, including the silver stuff.

Yeah - I've heard the Chinese are going gold hoard
nuts! The Chinese are the top savers (wealth) in the
world. I would imagine the world's supply of gold
will be pretty much deleted just as soon as China's
emerging 'middle class' emerges! We've already gotten
a taste of what they've done to the oil market!

We've underestimated them for too long - time to sit
    up and take note![8D]

For those who believe that the Metric System is a tool of the devil and is being forced on the United States by the United Nations or NAFTA, there should be slightly over 31 grams to a Troy ounce (typical weight for presious metals). 26 grams is actually 2 grams below the equivalent number of grams in an Avoirdupois once (16 to the pound).
