Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community.

The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.

Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies and Captain Crunch. The gravesite was piled high with flours.

Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded.

Born and bread in Minnesota, Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes.

Despite being a little flaky at times, he was still a crusty old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions.

Doughboy is survived by his wife PlayDough, three children: John Dough, Jane Dough and Dosey Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart.

The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.

I have read a lot of threads that the 4th of july holiday is not so joyus because of the political events that has taken place over the years. Well i love my country i will enjoy my 4th of july and honner ALL of our Fallen Heros past and present. If this thread really pisses off someone here to bad! I really do not care for our potus or his political party. But unitl the next election there is nothing i can do about it! If the time comes when he uses a stroke of a pen and take away our rights i am willing to fight for them and die! So for all the people who will not be celebrating(sp) stay home be bored and shut up![:D]

My father finally retired and my parents moved to upstate Pennsylvania. Iam really close to them and now have to drive five hours to see them instead of 1/2 an hour. They only been gone three days and I already miss them. They deserve a nice retirement and could no longer afford to stay here in NJ with our high taxes. Christmas is going to suck without them here. I tried to talk them into coming and staying with us but they said they didnt want to burden us. I guess they did the right thing because I am moving to Georgia in a few years and my sister is in the process of moving to Texas. This will be the first time we have not been all together in 50 years for Christmas.[V]

Rest in Peace Charlton Heston. I have always been in awwwww of this man who stood up for what he believed in and never backed down. Whom ever reads this please have a moment of silence and reflect on greatness this man has done for us. There will never be another President like Charlton Heston, just hope that the new President has half the BALLS as Charlton Heston did.
    R.I.P.

My Dog Died Today. I came home from work and found her laying on the grass in the back yard. Taz (her real name was Tazmania) was a 13 1/2 year old Chowador (Black Lab - Chow Chow mix). She was one of the greatest dogs I have ever had the pleasure of working with, a perfect dog for home defense, family play and field work. Her hips have been going away for the past 2 years so I knew this day would come. Every time I thought about putting her down she would start acting like a puppy. My 6 year old daughter Breelyn is taking it pretty hard, Taz was the only pet she ever had.

Man, It's always hard to hang up a collar....

Lost my longtime renter to cancer.

He was retired AirForce and a mean old fart,
but he was MY mean ol fart.

He left his stuff to me "less bank stuff" along with the keys and a legal note at the park office.

I guess us not raising his rent and some help we gave him went a long way.

He was dying and could not clean the place up and had no security deposit with us.

I can get twice the rent and no * chewings, but I wish we still had him.

Now for the insult to injury.
Picked up the keys & document at the office and the lady said his daughter had been there to pick up a few things.....[?]

    He has no daughter,
just one son out of state which he disowned.

His son cashed in the airline tickets that the old man sent him while on his death bed.[V]

He just wanted to see his son one more time.

The kicker, he left me his .45 and guess what?

    His sister took it.
    He hated her.
She had some scribbling on paper which she claimed was his last will.

He was on morphine,so who knows.

In the state of Texas this has wieght.

She said she would be back in a few weeks for the rest of his stuff.

    105 degrees there today.

Had to clean it up without any air cond, his sis hit the freon line moving a large chair out.
$250. later and after the work I did was finished I have ac again.[:)]

Guess she wont find much left,
as the welfare suckers were picking it up
off the curb as I was leaving.

Going back tommorrow to do some TLC.

Some days just don't pay to get up.

    BTW
I witnessed a fatal traffic accident yesterday while going to the PO box.[:(]

Today I found out a dear friend passed away in Florida on July 5th same as my mom's birthday. He had been with his daughter for a little while in Florida and will be buried in Harriman, NY near me.

Bill was 91 and served in Normandy. His son passed away a few years back from the effects of Agent Orange in Vietnam.

He was a master carpenter and the best trim man I ever knew. A shop stewart in his union. He helped me remodel my house and we shot together in NY and at Lyman's Blue Trail Range in CT.

He was a giant who walked amongist us. Well done Bill. Rest in Peace and I shall miss you terribly old friend.

I had to put our 12 year old male cat down this morning. We had him in the vets the last two weeks for stomach problems and Monday of this week the vet told me that he had a big tumor in his stomach and that there was nothing he could do for him but make him comfortable. I knew this day was coming but its still not easy. Gary

Before retiring I was well on my way to being the Doughboy's body double but the days spent out on the golf course have really helped to take off some pounds.
