Searched around the internet for this but didnt really find what I wanted.
I am looking for advice and appreciate everything but please refrain from brand bickering or getting outide of what I am looking for.
1. Must be a revolver, not looking at anything else.
2. right now I am looking at 22LR for ease of use, low recoil and is easily controlable. Not the most deadliest of rounds but will serve its purpose. Shes shot my 38sp, and that seems to be to much. anything in between thats less recoil but maybe more punch than a 22.
3. Looking at the snub snose, for your average to novice shooter what kind of range you looking at.
4. Budget of 500 or less.
Also no exotic rounds. I want something she can go to walmart and pick up with relative ease.

may be of interest to a fairly new lady shooter;
Here's an option (9mm):

that might work, although might be to much.
He bought her a Charter Arms "Pink Lady" in 32 H&R Mag.
She loves it
A guy I work with was in a similar situation....he wanted his wife packing more than a 22, but a 38 was to much for her.

that was another option I was looking at.

Inside 7 yds, accurate enough.
9 rounds of anything (including .22) will influence those around you.
And I'd much rather have something a new shooter is comfortable with than a weapon they are afraid of.
This is my go to weapon when bringing a new shooter to the sport. (Well, mine doesn't have the cool hammer). But I start here.
It's surprising how many want to go back to this pistol at the end of range time.
nothing wrong with a 32, but ammo is MUCH more widely available for 38spcl
Something like this.

Thats my thought. I am thinking something accurate to about 25feet or about 10yds. Like I told her a gun alone is probably going to deter 75% of most people. And a 22 will probably deter the next 15-20% once they are shot once. And the last 5% well I dont think it will matter what you have if you dont kill them immediately they wont stop.
I want her to be comfy and not scared of the thing and I think 22 would be perfect. 32 might work too but would have to see how it shoots.
My bad!

Sorry, I thought this was an offer to trade, which is not allowed!
My bad!
Humor,, I get it! Don
It's a semi-auto, double-action, designed after the Walther PPK and not all that expensive.

If you are set on the 22 rimfire then there are a couple of good ones:

not really sold just looking. I really want something thats closer to 22 than 38spc as far as recoil. Maybe a 32 does that.
Now I havent shot a 22mag in a while, but if I went that route wouldnt I be better of with a 32 or maybe even a 38
My reading comprehension is only slightly worse then some other answering this thread.
Much more expensive to practice with, though.
She needs something she will like and use at the range to become proficient and use it by route memory if the need arises.
