Sounds like somebody from New York has a "home-girl" around those stores and they were bought and then handed over to the NY thugs.

What about the people who bought the guns originally ?
I didn't read anything about them being charged[:(!]

I was wondering the same thing. How many of those recovered guns were in the possession of the original buyer?

the article said the guns were confiscated "in connection with a crime" NOT necessarily USED in a crime.

I often wondered why society blames the gun store owner for legitimately and legally selling a firearm to a qualified individual who passes the cursory "stink test" over the phone.

How does anyone know, in advance of the sale, if the buyer who was just approved is actually going to keep the gun or simply do an about face and sell it on the street to some thug for more money?

If NYC's gun laws were not so ridiculous, the thugs would be buying them from the locals there and not importing them from other cities and states. So after these 15 cooperate, what then? The thugs will always be one small step ahead of law enforcement agencies.

I believe that NYC's One Police Plaza is the driving force behind this farsical effort to "prevent" crime. No proof, just my opinion based upon an educated guess.

My question is the same that has been raised by others here.

How can a city government body from out of state legally monitor the practices of a business operating under the laws of the state in which they were issued their retail sales license and who is operating within the confines of federal laws?

It appears from a cursory glance that they violated no Fed Gun laws since the BATFE has not come down upon them...and we all know that they would have been on them like stink on poop if they had violated any laws.
