It's official. I'm sick of everything that has anything to do with this part of the world. I'm more than ready to go home. I could be packed in less than 2 hours if I was given said notice.

    I never did like that part of the world. Seems like once you get
    there it's harder than hell to get out. Those people have a weird
    outlook on life.

    I had always thought I would like to go back under different circumstances though.

    Not to stay for a long time, just a vacation type of thing.

    Ali Al Salem air base, Kuwait City International Airport, I think Camp Anaconda, Iraq has an airfield, Talil (I think it's sometimes called "Taji") air base...there's more that I don't know about.

    I drove through that before most of it had been moved to the sides and there were still bodies around. At that time we were calling it "DAMNATION ALLEY" amongst ourselves.

    I already have...I own 10/11 seasons of it, and the only reason why I don't own season 11 is because it's not out on DVD yet...November.

    Zulu, Anaconda is where I work at, yes it is an airbase.

    Talil is not Taji, Talil is an airbase but is about 200 miles south of Taji.

    There are several airbases there but I am not going to mention their names, there is already too much information in this thread that should not be on this forum.

    I worked with a feller who was a Marine sniper stationed in Kuwait and Afaghanistan up until just recently. He said it was really quite boring in Kuwait, not much happens.

    Just go AWOL and run off to Baghdad if you want some action.

    Ya'll act like Haji doesn't have Google Earth. OPSEC is still OPSEC, but lets get real, when one of my soldiers' grandmothers sends him a map off the internet with lat long to our FOB and asks him "which one is your tent?"....trust me Haj can get your MGRS[xx(]

    Not too mention US Soldiers now carry ID cards with RFID's.

    Anyone with a home built amped up RFID reader can get the information for every US GI in a building....from a distance.

    Thanks, I feel alot better now. All I need now is a wind chill, a crap load of snow, and production to tell me to change all ten tires.
