well I changed out the clutch slave and master cyc. changed the oil added some seafoam, new plugs and wires and she went on her first run today. She ran great but has a few little probplems that I have to work out.If she dies I have to spray starter fluid in order to restart her so I have to track that problem down first. She has a bad shimmy when she hits 45 but smooths out at 50 and last but not least I have to weld muffler back on [B)] . Locked her in 4x4 and took her for a 4wheeler test and she passed
all in all she has a few problems but I can get those worked out it was just great to get her started and able to take her down the road [:p]

    I like that.

Up here, we would call that truck a "winter rat", except there is not enough rust on it.

Shimmy at 45mph (but not 50mph) is almost certainly a U-joint or driveline balance issue (prolly a U-joint).

edit...Stall and no restart without ether may be as simple as a clogged fuel filter. Prolly wouldn't hurt to put some white gas in it either to get rid of any water.

Iv put a new fuel filter on but Im thinking it may be something to do with the chock or maybe the accelerater pump but not sure Im learning as I go [:p][:D]

As long as it sat, the accelerater pump is dried out.
The body loks good in the picture. If where it has been they use salt on the roads, check the rear frame rails for holes. They are bad for rusting out.

Might want to rethink using 'starter fluid' to get your engine restarted. Ether or 'starting fluid' will wash the lubricating oil from your cylinder walls and cause wear.

WD-40 or a small can of gasoline splashed in the carb/throttle body will also work and not cause harm.

Iv heard that before, thats why its the first on my list to get fixed asap. I only was uning the starter fluid to test it [^]
