How Far Do You Travel For Gun Auctions?

I just got back from a 160 mile round trip.I saw an add on auctionzip, that had a Marlin 336,219 zipper at a public sale.I thought this could be my lucky day to get a bargin on an uncommon gun.Apparently others thought the same thing, cause it wasn't in very good shape and sold for 725,which I thought was plenty for the amount of rust on it.Oh well for the sale, but I did find 20 bucks at Wendy's that covered the cost of my trip.

200 miles, one way, about a month ago.

    It was a bust.

But I bought a knife and some paracord at a surplus store and won a couple of bucks in a casino.

When I had my Auction business here and had a few guns up, people went nutz,, [:D][:D][:D]

I went to a friends auction and won a Smith and Wesson model 1 for 200 bucks ..[:0][:0] only good deal I ever got at auction for a gun.

...Only 30-40 miles at most. I may go to this one, though there's not much that interests me.

...Oh yeah...the onsite dealer gets real pissed when I whip out
a C&R copy to avoid the wait and a second trip.

I used to go 150 each way but am saving the gas and food costs and staying home and using this site . I still go to the local show in town .Its a small show with the same dealers and the same stuff each time so I'm looking more on here all the time .

about 20 feet from the couch to the computer.

I prefer the internet, GB, GA, or AA.

same as PBJ--now gun shows are a different matter as the farthest I ever went for one was 200 miles and it was a garbage show--mostly toys-never seen so many airsoft guns in my life, it was in Orange County CA when I lived in Fresno. The Washington shows are awesome with believe it or not GUNS being sold[:p]

    ruger41 -

must be nice - the gunshows in NEPA suck, unless you like paying top dollar, or are a jerky affecionato. I stopped going about 6 years ago.
