My information was that it was a rider on the CC bill and so will now become law.

One part of the bill Obama did not publicly celebrate at the signing, a gun amendment. The measure by Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., allows people to bring loaded guns into national parks and wildlife refuges.

The addition of the amendment to the bill _ and Obama's acceptance of it _ was viewed as a bitter disappointment for gun-control advocates.

I experience a near-orgasmic sensation at having those folks "bitterly disappointed" about anything! [:X][:0]

Does anyone know how I can find the bill online and read it? I'd like to know exactly what it says.

Cant believe it. Charles Rangel D/NY voted 'aye' on a gun bill. Sara Brady will prolly be having a litter of GREEN kittens over this.
Strangest name Missing from voting list was Nancy Pelosi[:0]

Sort of: George Washington Parkway is run by the National Park Service. It is illegal to have a gun in your car while driving on the GW into DC, even though the GW is in Virginia. This law would fix that.

But, this law says that you still have to obey all federal, state, and local laws for the political subdivision wherein the park lies, so you still can't carry a gun into DC.
