That was the first pistol i ever owned. Ive always been around guns and revolvers but they were my Dads. It looks just like a baby 45. Shoots great though.

I bought it at my first duty station when i was 18 or 19. I got a long gun almost every birthday and Christmas.

I inherited a llama 1911 45 it has never jammed on me but I've only got 100 rounds through it, the hammer pinches the meat between my thumb and trigger finger, after acouple clip s I'm bleeding allover, there is no noticeable wear on the slide (I know he had 1000 rounds through it). I don't see many on the used market.I don't know how liquid a slightly use one would be?

Like dano,I am not a fan of Llama. My shooting buddy bought one about three months ago.We have run about 1500 rounds through it.No problems, suprisenly accurate for a pistol of this sise.

I have a friend who carries the .22 version of the same gun on his trapline. Figures it's cheap enough if he loses it, no big deal. We have used, abused, put up dirty this gun more than any other. Never seen it jam but once. That time we were just plinking off a mixed batch of ammo we had around. I believe it jammed because of a CCI CB round. Just didn't have enough oomph to cycle the gun.For $200.00 I'd buy it.WOODS

I haved a Llama IIIA .380 that I had it for over 30 years. Paid $90 in 1969I don't know if the quality has changed over the years. Mine has been a fine piece work. Still shoot it often. Have had no malfunctions to complain about, It will bite if you don't have a firm grip but not a problem as long as you are aware of it.. Keep it loaded with Hydroshocks. Feed it CCI Blazer's at the range.[This message has been edited by 22WRF (edited 12-11-2001).]

You might concider a Kel-Tec if you want something made in America.I own a P-11 and love it.It's 9mm but small enough to conceal.Check out the Kel-Tec owners group web site at KTOG.com and read what other owners say about it.I payed $250.00 and apart from the long trigger pull,it's D.A.O.,I have no negative comments. Chambers everything I have put in it.CCI Blazer for practice and Federal Hydra-Shocks for carry.10 in the mag. and 1 in the pipe is good for a 9mm this small....Just my 2 cents.

I agree with Roger. I carry a Kel-Tec all the time, sometimes a P-32, sometimes a P-11. Both are very light weight, reliable and inexpensive. Check them out at www.ktog.org

2 PEOPLE I KNOW HAD LLAMMA GUNS AND WOULDNT EVER BUY ANOTHER ONE,THERE HAVE BEEN THREADS ON THIS BOARD THAT WENT SEVERAL PAGES ON HOW BAD THE GUNS ARE. I DONT OWN A LLAMMA,HEARD TOO MANY STORIES,SO I MAY NOT BE QUALIFIED TO COMMENT.IF I HAD A CHOICE BETWEEN A LLAMMA AND A KEL TEC I WOULD GO WITH THE KEL TEC EVEN THOUGH YOU NEED A 1/2 TON WINCH TO PULL THE TRIGGER,LOOK AT THE TAURUS PT111 ALSO.YOU SHOULD LOOK AT BERSA TOO

I own both a Llama (.32) and a Bersa (.380). Both are decent firearms for under $200, and I have never had either one jam while shooting. Here at home I noticed that the Llama didn't seem to like hollow points when I hand-cycled the action, but I never had that problem at the range. I personally prefer the Bersa because of the safety/decocker, although the Llama seems to be a bit more accurate.

I carry a llama 380 and never have had a problem, no jam or missfires or anything in over 2000 rounds ( would not carry it if I did ) Seems to work as good as my 1911 45. I paid $225.00 new at a gun show about 1 1/2 yrs ago. My 2 cents clois

Got a friend, retired cop, carried a IIIA as an off duty piece throughout his career. Had to qualify with it. Never had a problem. Also never used a holster, was left handed and carried it butt to the left in the small of his back.

This is my boss - Hey you already made the deal for the paratrooper SKS - why do you want info on the Llama now. I tried to tell him that it was an even deal. Shoot, the Llama was better'n the SKS, but I thought we were both ok with the deal.......

Got a bug up my a*s a couple of years ago and bought a Llama Micro Max .380. I have shot several hundred rounds through it and found that it is picky about ammo. With the right stuff it functions flawlessly. I won't carry it as a backup but do like to plink with it.
