    I see that in the last picture that you all are wearing hoods that cover your faces. Is this because you don't want anyone to now who is who, or for one of the other many reasons that everyone complains about when a SWAT team is dressed like this? [:o)]

    Or is it because of the same reason the SWAT teams use them, to help protect your face. [;)]

    the hoods are nomex it helps protect your face and identity it also is a scare tactic.

    for the in the bush pic im just in a bush lol

    i just use 0311 as a screen name 0321 was already taken,ive got many mos's undr my belt,now i'm back in the 0311 field again since there are only 2 reservist locations for 0321.i went to stone bay,NC for s/s school many years ago

    I believe the saw is for getting into locked areas of a ship if need be, cut the hinges and locks off of a door.

    Isnt NOMEX a flame retardent material used for helicopter pilots and crews???? and fixed wing pilots????

    Also John Force and all the other Drag Racers were a NOMEX hood under their helmet, as Well as their jump suits are NOMEX as well. As well as their gloves, all flame retardent..
